Inside Channel Sales Representative
Alvarion is recruiting an exceptionally experienced Inside Sales Representative to manage both inbound and outbound sales activities for multiple regions throughout North America and Canada. Role and Responsibilities:
60% Time:
- Identify revenue opportunities through communications, programs and other related activities.
- Prospecting, qualifying and generating sales within our established VAR/System Integration Partners.
- Ensure lead identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels.
- Telephone prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
- Telemarketing, cold calling, appointment setting and proactive contact of existing VAR/System Integration Partners.
- Identify and close additional purchases of products and services.
- Work closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSM), Marketing and Business Development teams.
- Provide product information and online presentations to customers.
- Engage in technical discussions, demonstrations and presentations with potential clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge base on market changes and developments in the wireless broadband industry.
- Provide reports to the management team on an ongoing basis.
40% Time:
- Responsible for all Lead Qualification and Lead Distribution for specified sales regions.
- Field all inbound sales calls for specified sales regions.
- Generate new leads for the sales channel through outbound calling.
- Responsible for supporting RSM(s) and field engineering personnel.
- Responsible for follow-through on leads referred to partners and to provide status updates.
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to explain networking, telecom and or wireless networking equipment.
- Manage and track evaluation equipment for RSM(s) and field engineering personnel within specified sales regions.
- Assist RSM(s) with special projects and literature distribution for specified sales regions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in customer service environment. Work experience should include a minimum of 2 years in a sales or sales support role.
- Ideal experience would include working in high tech company, preferably networking, telecommunications or wireless.
- Must possess exceptional phone skills as the job requires frequent contact with Alvarion customers and prospects.
- Strong telemarketing background in technology and/or networking industry.
- Proficient in database applications (preferably SalesLogix) and in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Understanding of sales processes, from creation through closing of agreements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong business acumen; ability to develop leads.
- Travel: 5% - 10% (Including to Israel).
